- listened to many Africa book read-alouds and wrote a story about our trip around Africa!
- water-colored a map of Africa.
- started adding 2-digit numbers with regrouping in Math.
- had the BOOK FAIR! (THANK YOU THANK YOU to those of you who purchased us books for our classroom! We have been enjoying reading them!
- earned all of our marbles and watched the Lion King as our reward!
- took an African Safari!
- worked on our African masks!
- made African necklaces.
- played Mancala (an African game). It's the world's oldest game.
- saw a museum of African artifacts.
- played a walnut game.
- listened to a book called "The Great Wonder" about Africa.
- read the books that our class bought us from the book fair! WE LOVE THEM!
- had a visit from Ms. Matthys who talked to us about sharing and being fair.
- continued talking about Author's Purpose.
- Started learning about the weather and temperature.
- Did an experiment with water and temperature at home. Did your water freeze? What does that mean the temperature was like outside?
